Vivo, has today launched a new smartphone under the camera-centric V-series, in India. Called the Vivo V23 series, it comprises of two new smartphones; Vivo V23 and Vivo V23 Pro. 

               The highlight of both phones is design and selfie cameras - both combine metal with glass, but the V23 has flat sides, while the Pro features a dual-curved design. So, let's take a closer look at this Vivo V20 Pro upgrade and find out what's new.

The vivo V23 Pro has 3D curved front and back glass and a thinner frame. Powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 with 8GB or 12GB of RAM, it's the faster phone. It comes with 128GB or 256GB of storage.

Vivo V23 and V23 Pro will be available in two colours, Sunshine Gold and Stardust Black. V23 Pro and V23 come with a 6.56 inch and 6.44 inch AMOLED display. running at 90Hz. 

The battery has 4,300mAh capacity and support for up to 44W charging.

Both phones employ what vivo calls Fluorite AG Glass, which is said to provide a soft, matte finish to the surface of the glass. You could get the pair of V23 phones in Stardust Black or the special Sunshine Gold, which can change its color when exposed to direct sunlight for up to 5 to 6 minutes.

Touted as 5G smartphone, the smartphone boasts 50MP selfie camera. The back design refracts light to create dual tone effect. Among features, the triple rear camera phone also ships with 108MP main rear lens along with a macro and ultra-wide sensor. Vivo V23 series gets MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC.

Pre-orders are already open on vivo's own website and Flipkart, while shipments will start on January 13 for the V23 Pro and January 19 for the vanilla V23.

•  Vivo V23 Pro runs on Funtouch OS 12 based on Android 12. The phone gets a 4,300mAh battery.

• The Vivo V23 runs on the same platform with a 4,200mAh battery. It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 920 SoC.

• For photography, the V23 has 64MP main lens, 8MP ultra-wide sensor and 2MP macro lens. It too features dual selfie cameras of 50MP+98MP resolution.
